Position Summary: Responsible for providing leadership for manufacturing personnel. Responsible for all CNC machining processes, process quality, cycle time improvements, rev changes, set-up repeatability and flexibility for cells. Be capable of identifying problems and concerns with solutions, and assist in the training of machine shop personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Provide sales engineering support
-Set up internal inspection labs for manufacturing and receiving inspection
-Set up supplier quality systems and train audit suppliers
-Train employees on inspection procedures
-Assign and schedule work to
-Production employees
-Quality control to include
-Follow and implement procedures for corrective action and rejected parts
-Administer safety guidelines within departments
-Perform employee and management relation functions including
-Discipline
-Provide job training and re-training as necessary for all area employees
-Approve all CNC processes for assigned cell
-Set up first time part process
-Document all machine cycles
-Document all set-up instructions
-Keep CAM files up to date with machine program
-Approve process capability
-CNC programming
-CAM programming knowledge
-Rev changes
-Work with development group on changes
-Maintain CAM file accuracy
-Process Improvements
-Review processes for improvement opportunities
-Quality concerns
-Set-Up reduction
-Monitor set-up times
-Monitor set-up completion
-Research new ways to decrease set-up times
-Inspection
-Be able to perform all quality functions to inspect products
-Geometric tolerance understanding
-Understand the basics of PC-DMIS and Brown and Sharp
