1. To have clear understanding of international shipping procedures
and comprehensive awareness of local Chinese markets,
local arrangements and regulations.
2. Commercially aware and strong negotiator.
3. To be able to liaise between suppliers and agents/carriers and, initially, supply
Head Office Shipping dept with info in respect of cargo ready dates
packing specifications clearly related to relevant orders.
4. With experience to be able to negotiate with local carriers/agents
to obtain optimum rates/service and provide Head Office Shipping dept
with evaluation of current services.
5. Have understanding of Chinese customs proceudres in order to minimise
delays at shipment.
6. Ultimately to be able to make decisions in respect carriers/rates and
locally control and arrange shipping.
